What is the product about?
Created by Jason Walsy, BTC Profits is Bitcoin trading system/software.
What is the product?
Information on BTC Profits is rather scarce but it appears to be a piece of Bitcoin trading software. According to creator Jason Walsy the system is easy to use and doesn’t require much in the way of time and effort. This is backed up by the alleged testimonials for BTC Profits.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
BTC Profits is available for free although you do have to make a deposit with the chosen broker which in this case is Option Rally (there will be more on these later). In terms of the rate of return Jason Walsy makes the rather unbelievable claim that BTC Profits has made him over half a million dollars minimum each month.
Does the product provide value for money?
Despite the claims made and the fact that BTC Profits is free I don’t believe that it is value for money for reasons I shall discuss below.
Conclusion
There are a number of things to address with BTC Profits but I shall start with the biggest problem I have which is with the broker. BTC Profits talks about trading bitcoins. Everything in the promotional video pushes this fact. When you look at Option Rally though they are in fact a binary options broker which is very suspicious.
That aside there are further issues in the form of the hype surrounding Bitcoin. As somebody who has followed the currency since its inception with a keen interest (although never enough to buy, even when the prices started climbing) I don’t believe that they represent a great investment. There is definitely potential to make money through trading them at the moment but there is no valid reason to suggest any long terms sustainability. This is down to the fact that the coin holds no value other than that which is assigned to it. This may not seem all that different to gold or share prices but both of those examples have a tangible asset i.e. the actual gold or a percentage of a company. Bitcoin has nothing.
I also greatly dislike the link between the marketer and the broker. This is part of an emerging trend where products are advertised as free and life changing amounts of money etc. and in return you sign up with the broker while the marketer pockets a tidy sum. What bothers me about this set up isn’t that it happens but the way the marketers handle it. I see no reason not to be open about the relationship between them and their brokers.
