SocialSPY Review

What is the product about?

Designed to generate marketing opportunities, SocialSPY is an online application that obtains information on Facebook friends.

What is the product?

SocialSPY allows users to instantly extract information from Facebook with a view to creating marketing revenue through sales. The creators of SocialSPY say that their product will show an increase in sales as the people that you are marketing to know and trust you and that you can market to people in a way that seems “innocent and accidental”. This, they say, makes SocialSPY the perfect product for anybody who has a product to market online or even for offline businesses to reach a targeted audience. That is the centre of SocialSPY’s claim to be different to other systems, that you are able to provide targeted marketing to your prospective audience. SocialPSY operates in the cloud which the creators say has the added benefit over rival products of being usable anywhere.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

SocialPSY is available on a subscription basis for $19.95 per month which the creators claim is a discounted rate as they’d usually charge $99 per month for access. There is nothing mentioned in terms of a refund policy but as it is a subscription service you should be able to cancel your subscription without too many problems. In terms of returns it’s difficult to quantify.

The creators don’t list any figures and because the SocialSPY simply helps you to generate leads, there is no fair way to gauge any ROI.

Does the product provide value for money?

Firstly it is worth noting that the $99 seems rather inflated. This means that I would take the “bargain” price of $19.95 with a pinch of salt. In terms of what it does, an over the shoulder video shows SocialSPY in practice and it appears to do what it says on the tin, it is the value of this information that I find questionable.

Conclusion

If you want a quick and efficient way of generating sales opportunities and mailing lists then SocialSPY is probably up your street. In terms of the claim to targeted marketing, other than having the ability to market to Facebook groups I’m unsure quite how this works. One of the issues that I have with SocialSPY is that really, in terms of marketing directly you could probably carry out the work yourself for free if you have the inclination, and that is really what it boils down to for me, whether or not you have that inclination.
