Flat Season Review

What is the product about?

Offered by the Betfan stable of tipsters, Flat Season is a horse racing tipster service that provides selections for the duration of the flat season.

What is the product?

Flat Season is a horse racing tipster service that it appears draws heavily on the knowledge of the team with Betfan saying that they recruit people who are passionate about horse racing and who also know the trainers, jockeys and the horses. Selections are somewhat sporadic and there may well be a few days where Flat Season don’t send any out. In terms of the selections that have been sent out though, there is a decent enough strike rate of 35%. As I have mentioned (and is implied in the name) Flat Season only runs for the flat season which typically ends in November.

What is the investment vs. the rate of return?

Because the flat season only runs for a limited length of time, now represents an excellent chance to get Flat Season cheap. Usually for a full season Betfan would charge £147 but as this is well underway, you can get access for the rest of the flat season for just £49. Just £2 more than the monthly subscription cost of £47. The returns for Flat Season have been rather mixed with 2 winning and one month since it started. Despite a (quite substantial) loss in May though, Flat Season currently stands at 61 points of profit. This is roughly in line with the 421.79 points of profit for 2013.

Does the product provide value for money?

If you feel up to signing up to Flat Season it is definitely worth signing up for the rest of the season. This particular package I feel really does represent value for money.

Conclusion

If you’d have asked me if I thought that Flat Season was a worthwhile investment before the current pricing I wouldn’t be convinced. At the moment though I feel that Flat Season is very reasonably priced and this makes for a potentially decent profit over the coming season. There is the small issue of the losing month (which lost rather significantly), but I would be disappointed if Flat Season lost out again.
